Conor McGregor will fight Floyd Mayweather on September 17, according to Fox Sports TV host Colin Cowherd.
"News I believe is gonna break here in about two weeks... I have already booked two rooms, September 17th and 18th in Las Vegas," he said on his show The Herd.
"My intel is Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is going to happen.
"It changed late last week. I got a call then somebody else sent me something [Sunday] and Saturday.
"We've booked rooms in Vegas. [It's happening] this September."
Meanwhile, Roy Jones Jr has urged McGregor to enlist the help of someone with a wealth of boxing experience if he wants to avenge his defeat to Nate Diaz.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, he said: "Be smart, find a good guy as far as boxing goes, (to) teach you how to deal with boxing, and come back at it."
And finally, former UFC star Chael Sonnen reckons McGregor made a huge mistake by going to war with the UFC brass.
"When asked if he thought McGregor had messed up, he told The MMA Hour host Ariel Helwani: "Yeah, he did.
"Now you've got to understand Conor does everything right. Conor is the guy that you want to study and then go and copy him.
"So, to find a critique of Conor isn't always that easy. Here's the big mistake he made Ariel, is when he got into the pis***g match in his mind he was going to tell his story on ESPN and he was going to tell it on Fox Sports 1 and he was going to come on The MMA Hour.
"What he didn't realise is that they all go hand in hand. If you're not fighting in the UFC, there's no reason for us to have you on ESPN."
