other tainted supplement has led a fighter to settle with USADA after a failed test. First it was Yoel Romero. Now it's Tim Means.The UFC welterweight has accepted a six-month suspension after coming to an agreement with the drug-testing organization.
Means tested positive for osterine ahead of a scheduled headlining bout with Donald Cerrone in February, which completely bewildered him. It was determined that a tainted supplement was to blame and instead of the standard two-year suspension, his was dropped to the six-month term for admitting to taking the supplement.
The suspension is retroactive to February 3rd, when he was notified of the flagged test. This leaves him eligible to return on August 3rd.
Means (25-7-1, 7-4 UFC) had won four out his last five going into that cancelled bout with Cerrone. His last win was a knockout of John Howard in December.
